He is Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Abdul Muttalib ibn Hashim

Hashim is from the descendants of Quraish and Quraish is from the descdandants of Ismail Alaihis Salaam

He is the seal of the prophets and messengers and the master of the children of Adam

His coming was foretold by the prophets of old and their scriptures and these prophecies have remains even though much of the books have changed

He was sent as a mercy to the world, jinn and mankind, as he guided them from darkness to light,

From the shackles of the worship of the creation to the worship of the creator.

From the oppression of man made laws to the justice of Allah.

From the ugliness of I’ll manners to the best of manners with your relatives and loved ones

He was born in the year of the Elephant in the best of households

His father died before he was born and he was raised by his mother and weaned by Haleemah sa’diyyah

His mother died when he reached 6 years of age and was taken into the care of his grand father Abdul Muttablib

Abdul Muttalib died two years later and he was brought up by his uncle Abu Talib

When he was 12 his uncle took him to Ash-Shaam where he met Buhaira the monk who predicted his prophethood

He grew up pure, truthful and wise and was called Al-Ameen by the people of Makkah

At the age of 25 he married the Mother of the Believers, Khadeejah bin Khuwaylid after returning from Ash-Shaam on a business trip for her

He had Al-Qaasim, Zaynab, Ruqayyah, Faatimah, and Umm Kulthoom from Khadeejah.

None of his sons survived and all of his children died in his own lifetime, except Faatimah who died 6 months after him sallallahu alaihi wa sallam

At 35 he participated in the rebuilding of the Ka’bah and was appointed as the arbitrator between the people of Makkah due to his truthfulness

He became a Prophet in the 40th year of his life with the revelation of surat Iqra in Ramadan

And he became a Messenger with the revelation of “Oh you wrapped up in garments, rise and warn”

The first to believe in him were his wife, his servant, his best friend, his boy cousin and the old relative of Khadeejah

His call was first and foremost to the Tawheed of Allah and the shunning of shirk

Then to the treatment of those close to you and the less fortunate with good manners

The call remained secret for 4 years after which he was ordered to proclaim Islam openly

He was opposed first by the Quraish, his uncles and relatives

They oppressed him and tortured his companions

This forced many of them to make hijra to the land of Abyssinia under the protection of the Negus who later accepted Islam

83 men and 18 women left for Abyssinia in the 5th year seeking safety and security

In the 6th year, Islaam was strengthened by the acceptance of Hamzah the Lion and Omar the Separator Between Right and Wrong

Soon after their conversion the unjust pact and the boycott of the Muslims in the small pass of Abu Talib began

The 9th year brought the year of sorrow and sadness when his uncle and defender, Abu Taalib passed away followed by his closest companion, Khadeejah the Mother of the Believers 3 days later

At the age of age of 50 he married Sawdaah in Ramadan followed by nikaah with Aa’isha the daughter of As-Siddeeq in Shawwal (which would be consummated 3 years later)

The following year he was taken on the night journey to Bait Al Maqdis then to the heavens where the 5 prayers were legislated with reward of 50

At the year of 52 the first pledge of Aqabah was taken with the people of Taybaa – there were 12 men from the Ansar, ten from the tribe of Khazraj and 2 from the Aws.

The next year brought over 70 converts from Tayba during the pilgrimage season and they took a pledge to believe, to listen and to obey and to defend Allah’s messenger as he delivered the message

The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam left for Madeenah in the same year in the month of Safar at the age of 53

With him was his close friend Abu Bakr who was honoured as being his companion on this noble journey
